My name is Connie C. Williams, and I'm a 40-year fitness industry leader.
I co-created step/bench aerobics in the late 1980s, producing videos and traveling the world training instructors, corporate clients, and personal trainers—including Princess Diana’s personal trainer!
It was an amazing experience and one that I will always cherish. But when I had my sons, I knew I needed to take a step back from my high-profile career so that I could focus on my family. It was a decision that was exactly right for me.
But now I’m back in action to share the amazing benefits of Assisted Stretching with you!
Why am I so passionate about Assisted Stretching?
Assisted Stretching eased my hip pain.
In 2017, I injured my hip.
I fell while bowling during a game at my Ladies Bowling League. I knew I had done something serious to it when I woke the next morning and could barely walk. The pain ran from my hip to my low back, and it was intense.
For 6 weeks, I wasn’t able to teach my weekly Barre and Step group exercise classes at the YMCA.
I tried just about everything to ease the pain, including chiropractic visits and massages.
I got some relief, but nothing truly worked.
One morning, I noticed the “roller” stretching tool that my boys had given me for Christmas in the corner of my bedroom, still in its packaging. I decided to give it a try.
The results were astounding! I couldn’t believe it... I finally had relief!
I experienced, firsthand, the amazing benefits of Assisted Stretching. I knew then that I HAD to share my experience with others through The Power to Pause.
The Power to Pause’s mission is to empower you to Pause through Assisted Stretching.
Assisted Stretching relaxes and elongates overly-contracted muscles using tools like rings, rollers, balls, blocks, and more.
By using these tools to assist your stretch, there is NO straining to stretch. In fact, you are able to experience a deeper, more restorative stretch!
We are always on the go-go-go of daily life. But when you slow down every day to listen to your body, to stretch and relax those tight muscles, you have the opportunity to experience relief from muscle aches and pains.
